Asimina ×nashii (Nash's Pawpaw): Natural Hybrid of Florida

Occurring naturally within the southeastern United States, the hybrid known as Nash's pawpaw arose from cross-pollination between parent species in the custard apple family. Morphology

As a natural hybrid, Asimina ×nashii inherits intermediate morphological characteristics between its parents of the genus Asimina.

Its leaves are generally elongated and arranged alternately along woody stems. The flowers present fleshy petals typical of the Annonaceae family, with a coloration varying from creamy white to greenish.
