Growing extensively across the tropical forests of New Guinea and the Moluccas, Epipremnum zippelianum stands out due to its deeply pinnatisect mature foliage.
This robust hemiepiphyte climbs high into the canopy of lowland rainforests, using strong adventitious roots. It is named in honor of Alexander Zippelius, a Dutch botanist who collected plants in the region during the early 19th century.

Morphology
The mature specimen exhibits a dramatic transformation in its foliage, producing large, deeply lobed leaves. Stems are thick, woody at the base, and can reach several meters in length as they ascend host trees.
